How I manage adds and links
Its important nowadays to be clear about this. I do include, at times, links to things I like, or have bought. Sometimes that is with Amazon as I use them a lot and so had an affiliate account. I don’t at the moment but will update this if I resurrect it. I am not blogging as a job. I have one of them. It takes up a lot of my life and I like it. Because I like blogging too, I spend time doing this.
There are other links I put in just to direct people to other sites because of their content and if they are places I have been (e.g. restaurants in Edinburgh). I am not paid or in partnership with them for these links. I also use photos / images from sites where you can download and use them (e.g. http://www.pexels.com, Unsplash.com) and I create my own pins and add pins on my Pinterest account of the same name.
I do have WordPress adds on my site. You don’t have to click on them but if you do please note that I may receive money. If I ever make any money on this I would be likely to use it to cover the annual cost of my domain. Based on my current total though this may take me a good 10 years!! If I ever make more than this yearly fee I will update this page.
